Meerschaums. Sigh. I have had a couple over the years. I just recently traded Uncle Arthur for a pipe and gave up my last one. A beautiful vintage "Skull" pipe. Trouble is I can't rid of the damn things. No sooner than I got rid of my last one - I got two more from friends! 1 is an image of someone famous. The other is a fun Bachus pipe with a long stem. Now the funny part is ... I have coveted the Bachus Meer for sometime but either wasn't in funds at the time of the "jonesing" or was off Meerschaums. And well here I am with a lonnng stemmed Bachus Pipe. I would love to see other meer pipes posted...just to see other carvings as well. Meers are cool smoking pipe of fossilized clay - giving probably the purest smoking experience of tobacco. Needless to say while I love 'em...I prefer wood/briar.
