Which one smokes better.

Torn between two pipers.

Don't have one of Marks & love my Radice's.

I really like Mark's work ... some beautiful pipes.
So, since you'll most likely post pictures, I vote Tinsky! :puffy:

I have both Radice and a Tinsky 2011 x-mas pipe/Black&Tan. I have to say they are equally fantastic smokers :puffy:

all of Mark's and all of my Radices smoke great.. it would come down to which particular pipe you liked best they are both well worth their price. give us a couple of pics and I'm sure we can help you spend your $$$. I lean towards Mark simply because I can pick up the phone and talk to him.

I got my first Tinsky a few months ago and I can't say enough good about it. Great smoke, and we're supporting American craftsmen.

I have a couple of both Tinsky and Radice. I enjoy both immensely.

If you had never pulled the trigger on that nifty Dublin, you would always be wondering about Tinskys!

instymp, so you're the lucky fella who bought that Tinsky. I had been eyeing it after it had been posted on SP; I was thiiiiiiiis close to buying it, then *bam* it was gone. Tell me, how does it smoke?

Mostly out of my league, but by visual appeal, Tinsky seems more original and fresh in his designs. Radices are lovely

pipes, but seem more traditional and less creative in their execution, more like a group effort. Would I pass on a Radice

as a gift? Ha-ha-ha-ha.

Ha! Not to worry...It's just a matter of time before something else comes along to sweep me off my feet :)
Enjoy your lovely new Tinsky!

Congrats on your new Tinsky, a very fine looking pipe. I think you made the right choice seeing as you already own Radice's. I hear nothing but great things about the smoking properties of a Tinsky so I bet you will like yours.

Not to generalize, but doesn't Radice have a lucite stem like many other Italian pipe manufacturers?
If so, you are much better off with Tinsky (I am assuming that he uses vulcanite).
Yes, my personal prejudice. LOL
Good luck with that beauty.
