I was able to talk a friend from London in to sending me some tobacco!

100g each of Gawith Full Virginia Plug and Gawith Kendal Plug.

(Also a little "tin" of Gawith apricot snuff to get the free shipping)
She also sent me some English chocolate bars..what a doll she is.

I love the warnings on the packaging..so graphic.

I just did a bump of the snuff..it's not bad.

I'm heading to work now, so the plugs must wait til tomorrow. Anyone have experience with these plugs? They seem to get universally positive reviews.

I haven't tried snuff in over 10 years and this stuff was a quick buy.

I'd be somewhat interested in trying some quality snuff.

Yeah I wanted just the ones with no topping at all.

I can deal with a light unobtrusive casing, but I've gotten away from toppings.

Love that Gawith Snuff Box. I've been getting into snuff myself and I'm really loving SG Bouquet and Grousemoor (nothing like the pipe tobacco). It's great to have snuff around when ya just can't smoke a pipe. Great score on the plugs too. I would love to try Full Virginia Plug and Best Brown Plug. Kendal Plug can be had here in the States, you just gotta be quick!

Edit* I agree with Simon, get yourself some SP, I still need to try Queens... Good stuff. I have the Wilson's of Sharrow Best SP (scented with bergamot and mildly floral). Another good non-scented snuff is WoS Irish High Toast No22.

Yes Kendal Plug is best brown, I had a chance to get a 250 gram box ofF mctinner for 25$ but I was too late on the draw and some other lucky chap got it. After seeing that image I want to try injecting tobacco into my vein with a needle.

I've never smoked such an "unprocessed" product. I'm rubbing out whole chunks of leaf here..

Finishing up my first bowl of the FVP..

The nicotine level is Medium-Medium High I think.

The flavors vary from puff to puff, but the base is always "earth".

Dynamic Earth... from musty/pungent/savory to sweet-cream/leather/honeysuckle.
I roughly tore this bowls-worth into smallish pieces and let it dry out over night. I'll have to experiment a bit with these plugs to find the optimal prep method. It took several lights to get going, but once it was rolling it was good.
I may do the Kendal later on today, as it's drier than the FVP..

Lovely! I just ordered "Epicure" from Pfeifen Huber in Munich which is SG´s Full Virginia under a different label. Looking forward to smoking it. ::
