Andy Serkis, the man who does the voice of Gollum and plays the part of Sméagol, is seen here smoking a pipe in the special features of the first Hobbit movie. I remember someone asking in one of the threads if any of the actors smoke a pipe offset as well. I guess he doesn't ever really smoke on screen, but he is a Lord of The Rings actor that does off screen.
