Cant attest for the quality of the third knife but the first 2 are good blades, also a muskrat like this could be good

Here's what I carry around or very similar. It's not cheap but has served me well. 4 inch, foldable, thumb release. Kershaw knives are excellent.

Sweet CRKT SD. I've been meaning to buy an Opinel too, keep hearing how great they are.

Personally I prefer a Green River patch knife. I like the history of the company, but I also love the super thin steel blade that takes a razor edge. The thin blade makes it great for slicing clean flakes off a plug or rope.

Nice Bob, my pocket knife had bit the dust a few months ago on me, was a cheap one/fell apart on me...so I had been holding out for something nice/different and that CRKT with ram horn handle just hit the....soon to be a new Acquisition Disorder for me...KAD~ perhaps ;-)

only time I had to cut plug the only knife I had on me was my coldsteel xl espada. wouldnt recomend that one though. perhaps a CRKT M-21 would work well, nice belly for cutting. great overall knife.

Thats true SD, heat treatment makes all the difference in taking and holding an edge.

Really, any good knife will cut a plug. I like the green river because they use super thin steel, makes it easy to push straight down through the tobacco without bending the flake.

Crkt makes some great knives, I like the style of the blade you got.

Make sure you get a good sharpener too, thats really what it comes down to. I like diamond hones myself, they're easy to use, work fast and you can pic them up at a decent price.
