Just enjoyed my first bowl if this flake- pretty darn good! The presentation reminds me of something from MacBaren. Anyone know if Iwan Ries rebrands this stuff or is it a unique blend?

The rumor is that it is Stokkebeye Luxury Navy Flake. I don't know that for a fact however, so maybe someone can do a side-by-side comparison.
I've never had the IRC Slices, but I like the IRC Virginia Flake quite a bit.

I have a 7oz. PermaMoist bag of the straight Va. laying around somewhere. It must have about 10yrs. of aging on it.

I should probably break it out and see how it is.

PS Luxury Navy Flake would be a good source. Lately I've been enjoying Three Star Blue, a sort of English blend

aromatic crossover blend that IRC has been selling forever. It's better with age, and most tasty.

Iwan Ries also has a bulk burley plug, which sounds interesting. Anyone tried that? Know the source?

I just bought a C&D Burley Flake #1, so I'm holding off on that one.
