Ditto jonesing. I think some of these guys could write a very interesting book. Guys like Ouellette, Pease, Tarler, Runowski...
And a thought occurs to me: I've noticed that companies are vague when it comes to listing the tobacco varieties in a blend. Oh, hush hush, trade secret! Yet as Ouellette explains it, you could give away your recipe and others would still be unable to reproduce it. So I'm a little miffed that some companies aren't more forthcoming on their ingredients. Even a brief description would help so much to educate us consumers. Would it hurt their business to tell folks exactly what type of Virginia leaf is in FVF, for example? Really, like we're all gonna run out and hot press our own flake! (OK, the rant's over; I'll walk away and fill a bowl with my favorite, albeit mystery, blend.)
