Information on John Surrey, Ltd pipes?

Hello all!

I have been looking for information on this brand of pipe. I picked up one from a resale shop (it is a dublin rustic briar) but can find little on the web about its origin. Any insight would be appreciated!

Sorry but I don't know anything about John Surrey pipes. Hopefully some of the other members might now something.

Hi Yetihunter,

Here's a link to a Surrey catalog from 1944.

And documentation of Surrey pipe stamps, logos and hallmarks.

I might also suggest that your research include Comoy's pipes because, I believe, as so often happens, they made "stencil" pipes for the Surrey brand name.

I hate to bump such an old thread BUT, I used the search and this was the most recent. I am interested in this term of "Stencil" pipe. Comoy's stencil pipe was the term used. Please explain (I assume it means comoy made certain pipes for the brand).
