there appears yet another Fischer in pipedom: Peter Fischer of Switzerland, which

may complicate your research.

I am a Fischer pipe collector and have been buying and smoking Fischer pipes since 1968. I have a collection of just over 50 Fischer's and they are very nice smoking pipes. It seems that the House of Fischer produced briar pipes in seven or so grades using nice quality aged briar.

Hey gents!
I've been shopping around for a Fischer meerschaum pipe. So far I have found a few of which might possibly be authentic Fischer pipes, however I don't want to commit unless I can someway validate this. Does anyone know if the meerschaum pipes were ever marked? What are some tell tale signs of a legit Fischer meerschaum?

Fischer pipes were made in USA through the 1950's up to late 1978 when the

owner, Paul Fischer retired, sold the store and moved to Florida in 1978.

Unfortunately The House of Fischer did not use a date stamp on their pipes,

and therefore it is not possible to determine the exact date of manufacture.
