I'm intrigued with the Zulu shape. Could someone define it, as distinct from horn and maybe Dublin and other
different but related shapes? Could someone take a look at the Iwan Ries new pipe site, under the Hardcastle
brand and comment on their zulu, relative to other ones. It looks sort of Calabash-like to me. Also, I've
always been interested in the Iwan Ries summary on Hardcastle pipes which comes across to me as sternly
negative. These are not pricey pipes, but they seem to have an old-timer aura, not so bad. But how does
Hardcastle do with the zulu shape? Apparently newer Hardcastle pipes elsewhere online are more
expensive and are not zulus. Incidentally, I don't take any of the pipes that seem associated with Dunhill --
that would be Parker, Hardcastle, and maybe Britannia -- as anything like Dunhill seconds. The shapes
don't match up, and I doubt there is any pass-along between any of those brands. Low and mid-price
pipes are just that, and some of them smoke really well, and some not.
