Interestingly, aks was once the proper pronunciation of what we now pronounce ask.

Also, flutter-by was the old name for butterfly, and makes much more sense too. They aren't buttery at all.

Windows were originally wind-eyes until some damn kid started pronouncing it wrong.

What was old is new again, and what is new will soon be old. Betta aks somebody.
