We all have a knock around pipe and know exactly which pipe it is. You put any old tobacco in it. You drop it, clean it out with your rusty but trusty pocket knife. It's got fills and teeth chatter, maybe it made the special level of appreciation with the sacred tooth hole. It never fails in rain, sleet, and snow. It's the pipe you are seen with most and if it were put on eBay today the highest bid maybe $5. $7 if you are lucky.
House pipes however are, known as "my precious". Typically large grouped and they come first before the mortgage. Adorned with shiny bands and grains that deserve museum cases. So let's see them! How often do you use them and do you have a certain tobacco for them?

Mine is a Ligne Bretagne, my least $ pipe, and def meets your requirements for a house pipe. Here it is brand new followed by a current photo :)

Yes, this pipe has had a tough time of it for certain. It's a bit sad considering twas a really nice pipe long ago. I believe it still has some spirit left, but worry not, for I shall burn away what little soul it has left ;) does this make me a Pipeopath, a killer of pipes? Perhaps, but my other pipes are watching and I mustn't show weakness, for to keep them in line, one pipe must burn :)

I try to make my pretty pipes do their duty. If they don't have a little char around the rim, I suspect dereliction. Likewise, I try to keep my basket level pipes in trim, so they don't look forlorn. The wear I like to see is that of resounding enjoyment, that glow of patina that outshines a nick or fill.

"...does this make me a Pipeopath?
That is too funny. And the answer is yes. There is some seriously nice Bird's Eye hiding underneath the patina de Nate.
