My friend recently cleaned up a Dunhill zulu and was wondering what year it is.
Stampings are faint but still readable. Stampings read:
Dunhill shell briar, Made in England
83 on the front edge.

I took a dive into http://www.pipephil.eu/logos/en/dunhill/ But with your description and the pictures I couldn't tell.
Perhaps try http://www.pipephil.eu/logos/en/dunhill/cledat-en1.html ?

You can really faintly see the numbers, with an underline after the D in England. Find out what that number is and you can date the pipe :puffy:

Exactly. The number looks smaller(?) than the D, and from looking at the picture...a 0(?). 1960. Time to get out the loupe Dave.
