I said what the hell, let me try this one...I do enjoy Lakeland blends
I got the vacuum sealed 4oz bag of this stuff, upon opening the

wave of deep florals filled the air.... I said to myself "oh boy", so

I continued with the ritual of breaking up 3-4 bowls worth to really

give this one a go...let it dry for a few hours and now smoking in

a clay..I have to say this stuff is really tasty (for those that like

Lakeland blends that is). There is a lot going on with this blend

and requires your full attention but man is it worth it...just another

great creation

I agree!! Both with Dragon and Roth.
This one took me a handful of bowls to figure out what I was dealing with (never tried a Gawith or G&H Lakeland, but H&H is a favorite blending house of mine, and well.. I was pretty curious), but man... This is pretty excellent.
After one bowl I realized that I now own a dedicated LBF cob. Ghosting doesn't begin to describe it lol.
Nice smoke though. I can't taste specific flavorings so much as I can FEEL the clove. Anyone who's eaten whole cloves or smoked kreteks at some point knows what I'm talking about. It's not at all unpleasant. Recalls those halcyon days (for me at least).
Recommended if you want something different.

Cloves? I've smoked many Lakeland blends (not this one), but I don't remember clove in any of them. I have had clove cigarettes, though. How does LB Fortissimo compare to those? Sounds intriguing.

From the horse's mouth:
Lakeland Brickle Fortissimo; a fuller-bodied blend with dark air-cured, dark fire-cured and Perique with a richer flavor including juniper, lavender and clove, and packed in 4 oz. bricks.
OK, I've got to try it, now.

Here is the description ;
The original Lakeland Brickle has been a big hit for us, but we received a number

of "I liked it, but..." emails and phone calls. What people were requesting was a

version that would be stronger than the original with a more robust scent. And a

number of people wanted smaller packaging. We listened to you, so we're announcing
Lakeland Brickle Fortissimo; a fuller-bodied blend with dark air-cured,

dark fire-cured and Perique with a richer flavor including juniper, lavender

and clove, and packed in 4 oz. bricks. You asked for it, and here it is.
Agree 100% with Roth and others, dedicate a pipe for this or smoke

in a cob as a Lakeland ghost would need dynamite to remove it. ;-)

LOL! I didn't mean to imply that clove was a dominant flavor, but you (and by that I mean "I") can definitely feel it. Like a gentle covering of gauze. Actually surprisingly pleasant.
And again, coming from a skeptic of flavored blends, this is actually pretty damn enjoyable as long as you keep it in its own pipe.
