Hey guys,
Has anyone ever seen a pipe made with a grey colored wood or a briar pipe stained grey?
something like this

Thanks!

Depending on the shape, etc, I would not mind having a pipe of that color. But the grain in you picture looks more like pine, or barn lumber.

Hi Winton,
The picture is actually that of a wood floor, and yes I know pipes are not made of pine, but the question is can Briar pipe be made that color.
Pappipeguy, that Nording has yellowish tones, which is one of the colors I wanted to stay away from, but thanks for your thoughts

The gray pipes I've seen from various brands have a thick enamel-like opaque finish which is eye catching but a little too synthetic looking for me. But they are absolutely gray.

I just picked up my second Wallenstein pipe, a neat Driftwood finish on briar, with horn style shank weighs only 26 grams.

Some morta will have that shade of grey and SEM makes a black and grey Cumberland that is similar too.

There is a solid gray Zederkoff on page 53 and the swirly patterned gray Big Ben on page 54 of the latest P&C magazine.

Last I looked, PC is currently sold out of the Big Ben Fantasia gray pipes.

Some runs of the Chacom Maya line are grey stained. I have one, a zulu. Sometimes though they make them either black or very close to it.

Iwan Ries has marbled gray Chacom pipes on their Chacom page; I think there are three different shapes, all in stock. These may or may not be the gray stain you have in mind. It is more an opaque finish, but it is definitely gray in a briar pipe.
