Clark Layton put out a line of pipes today called Sloth - Handmade pipe with a preformed stem . I grabbed one today from his site.

I have spent 2 weeks with the Sloth and I am very impressed. It is a great smoker. I have enjoyed loading it up with English and it is perfectly drilled.
I have to try hard to find the differences between the Sloth and my custom Layton's. The only difference with the pre-made stem is the airway through the stem is not as wide open as Clark's custom made pipes. The airway is more traditional like a Dunhill stem. I love how with Clark's custom stems you need the fluffy pipe cleaners . The bit is shaped well and it is very comfortable ( you can see in the pics that he reshapes them)

I am so going to get one one of these, there just needs to be something a bit lighter for clenching. I have been watching Clark progress and he just keeps getting better.
