Is anyone familiar with the James Garber line of pipes? I recently got this one from Blue Room Briars (a truly excellent place to browse with exceptional pricing); I already have another on order. Provenence, history, that sort of thing. Seems to be a British pipe sold by the French, so I don't know if this would be classed as an English or French pipe, but I love its simplicity and smoking quality for an estate, wonderfully restored. And wait til you see the one on order in a few days.
