Of course I didn't buy them all, lol.... but I did snag a few. No insane deals, like I've heard of people getting. but I've never seen so many pipes at an antique shop. I must have made the lady stand there for over an hour watching me in that case. Can't wait to get these things looking sharp again.
GBD New Standard 9491 $22

And last Ben Wade Hand Model $30, I don't know if all Ben Wades are like this but this thing is huge.

Great haul!
I think you got a deal on all of them! I don't know much about GBD pipes, but SSJones should be able to clarify more on the GBD and Comoy pipes.
Congrats!

It was nuts. I'm going back tomorrow. If you guys don't hear from me in a week, you know my wife killed me.

Hows the top on the Comoy's? If that's in good condition, "winna, winna"!

Holy Hell.
What a haul. Do you live in Ohio, Uperepik? Or maybe one of the surrounding states? Those GBDs make me think there was a Smoker's Haven nearby. The New Standards were upper-lower tier on the GBD grading line but mine have always been excellent smokers and seeing as how they flourished in the late 60's and 70's you're going to be smoking some well aged briar. I also love the look of that Comoy's Extraordinaire seal club. If it doesn't do it for you, pal, please let me know.
My knowledge of Ben Wade pipes is exclusive to the Preben Holm builds when Holm took the brand to Denmark. But your London made version looks substantial and very, very attractive.
Well done.
Great pix, BTW. Much appreciated.

I'm in Washington state, they had more GBD's but they were not as old.

It's in good job, no bad dings, worst thing is that scratch on the side.

Some very nice pipes. That Comoy's looks pre-war, what are the other markings on the pipe?

Would like to see a picture of that, out of curiosity.

Oh wow! Congrats! You live here in Washington?! Drool. Great job on getting some deals. Tuold finds some antique store finds, as well. I am never that lucky.
If you are near Vancouver, we should hook up for some smoking.

So, not pre-war. That is 342B (the 4 is kind of difficult to make out).

Woodsroad, I got them in hopes to be able to trade something for one of those LE Dunhill cobs of yours.
