Hello my fellow pipers. I'm interested in purchasing a clay pipe, but I'm concerned about the stem. I heard from various people that I can use chap-stick to keep the stem from causing lip burn, but I have an idea........... maybe I can use an acrylic Missouri Meerschaum stem, maybe one of the royal bits(Marcus pipe) and fit that on my clay pipe.....the only concern I have is the acrylic stem melting as I heard it gets some heat. Well, tell me your thoughts.
