I got PAD and TAD at an estate sale yesterday. Ouch! Here is a list of what I bought and there is more available but I will try to restrain myself.
These cans are about half full with 20 year old tobacco.
Johns Pipe Shop (Los Angles) Burley

Sun Bright Va “Kentucky Club” W.VA.

Latakia Philip Morris
Books: The Gentle Art of Smoking, A. H. Dunhill

Old Prints- Weber Briars Inc.

The Pipe, W. Frank (falling apart)
Pipe tool with leather sheath
Pouch
GBD “New Standard” 1451. Crica 1976 There were other pipes but I did not recognize the makers.

The insides of the pipe were well maintained . No thick cake or clogged passage. The Tops had a lot of build up. I got excited and cleaned mine up before taking a picture. :crying: The stem still need work.
I need to resize the photos Will do soon.

You gotta love tag sales! Nice looking GBD.
Congratulations on a great score.
The Latakia could very well be Syrian.

I put about 25 grams in a small bowl. Covered the bowl with a damp towel. Stirred the tobac a few times. After 24 hours, the tobac is rejuvenated. Tomorrow I will try it in the GBD that I did a retort sterilization yesterday. I am waiting for the alcohol to evaporate.
I do hope that the Latakia is Syrian. It is still fragrant. :puffpipe:

This is exactly the reason I routinely stop by local antique and consignment shops. Must admit, though, I've never had a one-day find the likes of this. Congratulation on a well trained eye for history and for quality in pipe craft.

Yep! And, there was more. I am tempted to go back for some John's pipe shop pipes, some others with the stamp WH (these to give away to new pipers) and a painted tin of McB. I have got to find some more money. :D
