There is a pipe on eBay purporting to be the personal pipe of BG Victor V. Taylor, Sr. Taylor was a member of the legendary class of 1915 at West Point. The class had over a third of its ranks become general officers, including 5-Star Generals Eisenhower and Bradley. Taylor died of natural causes in 1944 and his son was killed in the Pacific in 1945.

On EBay you can ask the seller a question, I just was curious and sent him a message. The message goes to your email if you've bought pipes before. He told me it was 450$.

Nice looking pipe. I think some manufacturer could use the design and do good business, with or without the back story on the general. Leave off the class year numerals on the bowl, of course. It has a nice bulky but pleasing heft.

Well I'm the high bidder currently but not a threat to meet that reserve. I won't bother raising my max! It is a pretty cool pipe with a great back story.
