Asked Dave Wolf of Walker Briar and he said it easily was a 500$pipe, got it for 377$, just a little dirty on my 3rd Nitecap bowl and it is a Hoss, The old cajun

Good looking Dunhill. What is the Cumberland stem made of? Someone above said rubber. I asked Rad once & he said it is acrylic. Do you taste any difference between the Cumberland and the black shells? I find their black (actually dark red) stain bitter tasting.

Very beautiful! My birth year Dunhill is a cumberland, same rustication , same style stem but mine's a poker - Haven't smoked it, will save it for a good time!

I owned a Dunhill 5212 (sold here!) and it was a vulcanite stem. Dunhill actually called them "Brindle" and Cumberland was the pipe finish. That stem was super comfortable, similar to my Ferndown Cumberland, softer than Ashton Cumberland (Ashtonite...)

Now that is a manly looking Dunhill, fitting for a man of Bradley's sophistication. I have been watching that one for a while, I think. If it was from the guy in Germany it is the same one. Those walls I am sure will assure it never smokes hot.
foggy, I believe all Dunhills have rubber aka vulcanite stems. All of my cumberland stems are vulcanite and they are very comfortable.
Al, I noticed my Ashtonite stem is not as soft as rubber but it is softer than acrylic. It always stays perfect looking as well.
