I recently purchase 1975 Dunhill Shell pipe. From what I can see on the net it dates from 1975. Can anyone tell me a little bit more about it? For Example the name of the shape, what the pipe and stem are made from and what it's possible value is?
The Identifying markers are 654 DUNHILL SHELL MADE IN ENGLAND15. It also has a 2 in a circle followed by the letter "S". It has been smoked but is in great condition. The stem is original with a white dot on the top near where the connection is. Any advice here would be greatly appreciated. This is my fourth pipe in my collection and a great addition I think.

I believe the 2 in the circle means it is a group 2 sized pipe which means it is very small. Given that it is from 1975( not a very desirable Dunhill period), I think the pipe is worth maybe 125-150.00 if it is in really good shape.

Thanks a lot Harris. I really appreciate your input. By the way, do you know what wood the bowl is made from?
