I bought some bulk Sutliff Red Virginia 515 RC-1 from Pipes & Cigars. It arrived dryer than expected; nothing drastic, just a little dry. It's still completely smokable.
It's my first time trying to cellar this blend so I don't know if the moisture level should be tweaked to more normal levels before jarring. I've read that dry tobacco doesn't age as well as properly hydrated tobacco. On the other hand I don't want to promote mold or cause some other unintended problem. Any suggestions?

I would rehydrate, actually would even dry it if moist.

Jarring it with highish moisture just increases the risk of developing plume in some time.

Leave it dry is the consensus and I'll go with that.
Thank you gentlemen.

Rehydrate if that's what you want. Sutliff generally doesn't lose anything when it dries. Some tobaccos, on the other hand, never recover. And others are just fine, dry as tinder.
