This is not my pipe, but I wanted to share it with you all. I stumbled across this while perusing www.proxibid.com, an auction site that has recently landed me in hot water with the wife. The entirety of March was a PAD-addled blur from which I emerged with 130 or so estate pipes, 50-some lighters, 8 pipe racks and complete loss of the moral high ground where my wife and finances are concerned. Pipe restoration is my new hobby and I now need to learn how to navigate ebay. But that's not what this post is about.
The description from proxibid says that the hinges allow the stem to fold up and over the bowl. An interesting concept, but I am skeptical about how good the seals at the hinges are when the pipe is opened up for smoking.
