My wife doesn't agree with the pipe smoking thing. She just offered me $500 bucks to find a new hobby and promised to support it. Although I have no idea where she would get the money from (as we don't have that kind of spare cash lying around), I figure I could get a nice Dunhill with that.

My wife is an asmatic former nail smoker. When we met i smoked cigars and have progressed to the pipe. She doesnt favor it, but doesnt complain, too much, either. I also dipped when we met and have given that up too, lthough i thoroughly enjoy it and snag a pinch every now and then.
Bondage!! You could probably get a nice set up for that kind of cash. Not that I would know, mind you...

Wow. So is it the change your dropping on pipes and tobacco and motors for buffers, or does she just not like the smell of tobacco?
There's so many worse things than pipe tobacco...I'd try and explain that to her...

@mrgunner177- I think I'd split it between five pounds of baccy and another pipe.....but of course I couldn't take the offer

Of course it turns out her offer was half in jest, I explained to her about the relaxing effect it has on me, that I enjoy this forum too much, and that she doesn't have five bills readily available anyway.
