I got this pipe on ebay last week for a song and quickly found it a curious exemplar. The stamping doesn't seem to fit the pre-1957 dating scheme on pipedia (non-possessive Parker, but a single digit). The number following "England" is a little unclear in the photo in part because it's somewhat unclear on the pipe, which is fairly dinged-up. Through a loupe, it could be a 2 (1925), could be an underlined 9 (1959, unattested), or something else entirely. It does appear to be a single digit, however (or perhaps I'm not seeing it right). Thanks in advance for any thoughts on dating this pipe and/or references to a more exhaustive dating scheme and/or catalogs with the 87/F shape. My apologies if this question has already been answered in another thread; I went through all the Parker threads I could find with no success. Please let me know if more/different photos are needed.

Looking at the enlarged picture it looks like an underlined 0, so 1950. :)

Thanks, Dave! I was able to get a couple pictures that are a little better by holding a loupe to my phone. It definitely looks like a 0 in one of them. That the pipe is so tiny doesn't much help matters (though the chamber is surprisingly capacious).
