This is a dumb question but I feel like it needs to be asked. I recently purchased a Mr. Brog pipe rack that fits six pipes. It came this week. Looks and feels great and was a decent price. But my Savinelli 320KS arrived yesterday and it doesn't fit! The bowl and the bit are both too bulky.
Would a more traditional pipe rack fit bigger pipes like my 320 in addition to the more traditional sized ones? I hate having to return things through the mail and appreciate your experiences.
Below is the more traditional style I am referring to:

Finding pipe racks to fit specific pipes can be difficult. You may have to look beyond the traditional style racks? I have no idea what a Savinelli 320KS is shaped like, but if it's anything outside the realm of a classic shape then it may not rest well on a traditional rack?

So I looked up the Savinelli 320KS. I didn't realize it was that classic Savinelli Author shape? I don't think it would securely sit on the rack shown in your link. It may rest alright, but I would worry that it would slide off. I would look for a individual pipe rest instead of a rack. Otherwise, you could always fabricate your own or try one of the magnet stands? Good luck in your pursuit. The shape of those pipes is great! There has to be others on the forum that own one, so I'm sure there will be more insight to your options than what I've provided.

Don't take this personally. Few if any pipe racks will take all pipes. There is the bulk problem as with your 320KS. There is the perennial length problem with churchwardens of many kinds -- sometimes an open frame rack will take these on the top shelf, sometimes not. Some freehands and Oom-Pauls, though they may fit, will require careful placement to make them settle into the niches without toppling over. So if the Brog rack will take most pipes, hang onto it and use it when you get other pipes that will fit, and meantime maybe get one of those little single-pipe rests to hold the 320KS. In buying future pipes and racks, keep this in mind, but don't let it be a deal breaker. I have a 42 pipe cabinet that holds many different pipes, but some it will not take, so those bounce to one of the other racks.

I think what you linked to would fill the bill.

Thanks for sharing. I've seen some that look similar out there. Will try that route.

I buy older racks, with holes and cut the holes into u-shapes (Fairfax racks work great for this). They now fit all of my larger, bent pipes.

I also need a good pipe rack that fits my larger pipes. My great grandpa's pipe cabinet that I have only seems to fit my small Grabow pipes, and a few jars of tobacco.

It's difficult to find stands for broad, chubby stummels. I've got one of these, fits my 320's perfectly.

There is a vender on Ebay that sells Bamboo pipe racks that are very inexpensive. They are available in single, two, three and four pipe configurations. The 320KS fits these racks. I have a pair of 320KS and use this rack system.

Anyone with a 320 have a recommendation for a nice (inexpensive) single pipe stand that would accommodate this pipe? I never returned the Mr. Brogs rack and have decided to just get a single stand for this one.

I don't use racks myself, but this should fit the bill.

Leacha beat me to the punch.
I had the same problem. They're too fat to fit in a standard rack. That's a Savinelli pipe rest. A perfect fit for 320's.

I use these without a problem as they don't hold the pipe as upright as most pipe racks. Also for $20 they are pretty cheap.
