I received my new Peterson Darwin ebony today from Brucciani's. The final price was considerably less than advertised. The pipe originally had a p-lip stem and I wished to have it with a fishtail. They sent it back to Dublin to be re-fitted with a fishtail stem at no cost to me. The pipe was ordered at the end of August and received on the west coast of Canada at the end of September. Great service from Brucciani. Great pipe from Peterson.
I have wanted a Darwin for some time. Charles Darwin is my intellectual hero. I like the ebony finish with the sterling ferrule. It seems to suit the character of CD more than a Deluxe. This is my first system pipe and I am impressed with the smooth draw. I loaded it with Frog Morton and will be smoking many different latakias in it. I put a softy pipe condom on it an it clenches well.
