For those of you who read Don Miller (awesome), you know he loves pipes and writes about smokin a pipe in nearly every book.
So here's the trailer for Blue Like Jazz, which is his best book and is the first one to be made into a movie.

So I was thinking. And I know this shouldn't really matter in the grand scheme of things but I was curious.
This trailer makes one of my favorite books look like ... a chick flick. I mean I hate to say it, but it doesn't look all that good from this trailer. My wife will probably like it, but I don't get into movies like that. I don't know what I was expecting but that trailer looks like "Crash For Metrosexuals".
Anyway, I'm wondering if there will even be any pipes in it at all, because (if you've read the book you know this) pipes play a pretty large part in the book, including a few scenes where it might be said to play a major part in the story. And I dunno, but from the looks of that trailer, smoking isn't allowed. Plus, the rating hasn't been determined, but I think these days lots of smoking gets you a heavier rating which I can't see this movie risking.
Just thinkin' out loud. Anyone care?
