Glad you like it Ben!! Your tamper is actually one of my earliest pieces. Made it about 3 years ago. I was selling a few on Ebay where this one was supposed to go. It originally had a brass pick. Wen I epoxied the tip into the briar I somehow got epoxy on the pick and glued it into the tenon.I finally got it apart but goofed up the mortise while trying to dig out the epoxy. Finally got POed and put it on the shelf above my workbench. It sat there until you decided you needed a tamper.I didn't have a suitable pipe to make one from so I completely reworked it,including turning down the diameter of the shank and stem,and then cutting,plugging,re-shaping and bending the stem. The pick was cut off and the stem epoxied into the briar shank.
