I have never really understood this ranking system. When you become a Preferred Member do you get a silver badge or better still a universal discount coupon for your local B&M? It strikes me as odd but I am sure there is a rational reason for everything. I would assume that Preferred Members are well rounded unlike single subject curmudgeons such as myself whose interests extend only to meerschaum pipes, certain strong brands of tobacco and tall Finnish women and even stronger drink. Anyway congratulations on your elevation to the peerage old boy!
