PIpes and Cigars is offering a new line called the Argo. Russ Oullette said it had a 5mm opening to promote an open draw. (Most pipes have 3mm drafts, if I'm not mistaken)

I haven't picked one up yet mostly because I've yet to see a shape and finish that have grabbed me.But I suspect they'll be really good smokers.

Not really liking that trim ring/stem fitting or the shaping. I think I could find a better way to spend my money (just a little bit more) on a new "affordable" pipe.

Yeah, I forgot the technical term but it does look like they stuck a cheap ring washer on it.
Checked out your page. Some nice looking pipes there. How long have you been doing them?
Didn't see one that shouted, "Pick Me!" this time but nice work. Feel free to PM me as you post more.

That ring looks like it's there so the work of precisely matching the stem to the shank can be avoided.
