For the second time I have been lucky enough to get an old Barlings Make pipe from ebay, Barlings over make 4735. I posted the picture a little while ago but thought I would share it here.

Now that REALLY floats my boat - super looking pipe, Owen.

The 'Stumbled-Upon' pipes make my day - kinda get the warn'n'fuzzies!

    Congrats.

Don't you hate that when great pipes just 'happen' to find they way into you collection.

Sharp pipe! Need to remember the "accidental" angle.

    Lol ^

I am to the point now that I have to be able to prove to the Mrs I have pipes for sale before bringing new ones home.

    I think it's a reasonable process.

That is sure a nice looking Barling. Congratulations on the find!

I know firsthand that these 'accidents' can be costly. Is there insurance available for this? Nice Barling BTW!

Arched BARLING'S MAKE over 4735, easiest pipes to date, 1962. Last of the "Family Era" pipes. Well done!

    Great find!

    Looks in very fine order.

    Is it stamped "Fossil"?

    A great shape too,
it seems the Barling bulldogs are in the minority
    and not seen as often.

    Enjoy it well!
    Happy Puffing!

Very nice catch! I have a number of these 1962 pipes and all of them have been excellent smokers.
