Amadeus pipe

Hi all,

I recently got a new Amadeus straight pot from P&C.

It looks pretty at first glance but has some serious problems.

Worst of all of them is that the hole from the bowl to the shank was completely covered from the no break in coating they used.

I fixed it with a few jabs through the shank with the straight pin of the Czech pipe tool.

There's also an over sanding on the shank that slightly lightens near the stem.

On top of that there are clear stain drip marks on the rim of the bowl.

Smokes ok, a bit warmer than my other pipes and it's draw is a little too airy. Maybe that's from the shank poke.
Either way I was expecting better from a $57 pipe. Next time I'm buying a Sav I think. (that's what I ordered in the first place before US PS lost my package!)

Anyone have any suggestions for something similar in price and shape? Any experience with this Amadues brand? I shall not be getting one again!

the only reason i didn't complain to customer service is that the package was already lost once, which they replaced at no cost to me. I didn't feel like going through the hassle of complaining and sending it back etc etc.

I'm going to use this as my Lat blend pipe for now so that i don't ghost my other pipes.
i think i'm going to make a post showing my current lowly four pipe rotation but for now here is the offender.

yeah i'm starting to think the postman may have stolen it. or just lost it. even when i called the post office the manager admitted that my carrier has "had some problems" but at the same time they weren't willing to do anything for me because their records said "delivered"!
Could you imagine having a job that required you to do only one thing, and you can get away with not doing it!
