Age problems in different places

I am 20. I live in canada where the age to smoke is 18, and I'm moving to australia where the age to smoke is also 18. But to get there I have to pass through the United States where I believe the age to have smoking paraphernalia is different. Will I have trouble getting my pipes (just pipes, no tobacco) through US customs? I don't want my good pipes taken away.

Shouldn't be a problem. 18 is the legal age to smoke in the States

They couldn't do you for having pipes anyway, you could be a collector or anything. Nothing illegal about a pipe at all, whether you're 18 years or months.

At 20 you're good to go! Just make sure it's tobacco you're smoking in them.

Somehow, the legal age to purchase tobacco wasn't the first thing that came to mind in reading the title of this thread ...

I would think the DHS and TSA shouldn't be concerned about under-age tobacco smoking even if it were a problem for you; but it would seem, according to US forum members, it won't be a problem for you.
