advanced cleaning question

I used to smoke basically all latakia blends. After a break from pipes, I have found my tastes have changed and I no longer enjoy the taste of latakia as I once did.
I have cleaned all my pipes yet that latakia taste still remains in a few of my favorites that I really smoked a lot out of...it's just enough latakia leftover flavor to really get on my nerves...especially at the bottom of the bowl.
Any tips to resolve this problem? Thanks.

Have you tried a Pipe Retort?

That may really make a huge difference.

Pipe retorts are good deep cleaning but a little hard to get a hold of. Have you allready done an Alcohol & Salt Treatment?
Both work wonders. The pipe retort from what i've heard is a DEEPER clean because it's BOILING ALCOHOL lol :wink:

Yeah i would do that the retort is good but can be a bit risky for the finish of the pipe. Salt and ever clear with a little patience ought to do the trick
