Just finished up Consolation by C&D, which I enjoyed very much. Moving on this morning to explore Peter Stokkebye No. 52 Proper English. Where do English lovers rate this blend in terms of its properness as an English representation?

Update: Smoking with coffee. I cant compare to other English blends, but damn this is good. Not a bad nic hit either.

I would rate it 10 as being a “proper English”, by the definitions with which I have long been accustomed. I, too, think it is a great smoke. I have it deeply cellared. jpmcwjr, I am curious why you believe it is anything but, 100% “proper”?

Make sure your pinky is raised as you hold your pipe for bonus "properness". I love Proper English, it is well represented in my cellar. Always get more during the August sale every year.

Points deducted for country of manufacture. Constituents, Latakia, Oriental/Turkish, Virginia, though, make it quite proper.
