Do they call it a herf when pipe smokers get together? Got together with 8 friends last week at Hillbilly Ridge West of Paducah, KY. All these guys were very, very long term members at the Cigar Family Site. Hillbilly Ridge is a BnB as well as a hunting lodge owned by the host, Ric. I arrived on Tuesday evening, left mid day Saturday. It was a fabulous time.
The cigars, bourbon and food were epic. One gentleman owns a rather large seafood restaurant on the Ocean in San Diego. He had some huge, exceptional shrimp and oysters shipped in. One fellow brought a 18 pound ribeye. Rare Fuente and Cubans were laying around everywhere. The Bourbons, Ryes and Rums were off the charts. Two fellows spent well over $2,000 on Bourbon and Rye to take back they normally would not have access to. We also shot a number of interesting weapons in the "back yard".
I represented the pipe smokers well though. I smoked a number of cigars but mostly had a pipe in my mouth, even when shooting.
