A week or so ago I had a deal with Adam (clickklick) and he was supposed to send me the pipe below:

    LINK

    And instead I received this.

The list of the tobacco I received for free:

    - McCranie's - Red Flake
    - Sutliff Tobacco Company - Kentucky Planter
    - Sutliff Tobacco Company - Berkshire
    - Sutliff Tobacco Company - Moulin Rouge
    - Sutliff Tobacco Company - Sunrise Smoke
    - Sutliff Tobacco Company - Academy
    - Sutliff Tobacco Company - South Seas
    - Sutliff Tobacco Company - R Blend
    - Sutliff Tobacco Company - Barbados Plantation
    - Sutliff Tobacco Company - Blend No.5
    - Sutliff Tobacco Company - Maple Street
    - Sutliff Tobacco Company - CD Blend
    - Esoterica Tobacciana - St. Ives

Pardon me, I am going to go to cry now.

    Oh joy!

Nowhere in the world will such a brotherly feeling of confidence be experienced as amongst those who sit together smoking their pipes

Well done you Javan and what a lovely show of kindness from Adam

Perhaps not my style of pipe but I reckon it would grow on me

Though I am not familiar with those blends, there is bound to be something in there that is glorious.

Enjoy your new pipe & baccy

    Regards,

    Jay.

    Very nice indeed.

The generosity on this forum is outstanding.

Thanks a lot guys. Unfortunately I can't smoke at the moment. I used to have nicotine stomatitis and I had to quit smoking for at least 2 weeks. I was getting ready to smoke this weekend and I woke up with a sore throat this morning.

That used to work when I was a newbie

    Nicotine Stomatitis?

I'm not buying that! You quit for two weeks and woke up with a sore throat . . .

I'm not giving medical advice, but that does not sound right to this former nurse.

Anyway, good luck and hopefully you can smoke soon! That Red Flake is aged and should be quite the treat! Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Unfortunately I had it Adam. LINK

Actually, sore throat has nothing to do with the nicotine stomatitis. This time of the year I usually wake up with a sore throat. A little wind and you will see my tonsils getting bigger than any other organ I have. Actually I have to get them removed, it is happening this winter probably. And I think I am not going to be able to smoke for a month then Anyway, thanks a lot for the wishes, pipe and tobacco.

Adam, for how long did you have to quit smoking after the operation?

Btw, this turns out to be a real torture. I open the door of the closet, look at my pipes and tobacco, then close it.

Great looking pipe. Bet it is a good little clencher. Hope you get to them soon.

I know what I need, smoke, I can't recall the last time I tasted it....Gandalf in the mines of Moria.

"we shall have to share pipes, as good friends must at a pinch'....'I keep a treasure or two near my skin, as precious as rings to me. Here's one: my old wooden pipe. And here's another an unused one...He held up a small pipe with a wide flattened bowl, and handed it to Gimli. 'Does that settle the score between us', said Merry. 'Most noble hobbit, it leaves me deep in your debt."

Awesome score, great generosity and also, great recognition of it.

I was out of commission for 6 months. But had to get revision surgery since the first one had issues. After that my tastebuds changed and I can no longer pick out the subtleties of certain orientals or condiment leaf in blends. Just remember, it'll all come back with time
