A rarity I'd imagine. This is a square shank 2 panel apple with a bowl number of 23C and is a Flame Grain model. From my research this pipe was only made in 1947. It still has its intact 4 hole stinger with drinkless stamping.
Before and after pictures.

Thanks guys!

@Dave, they made that bowl shape from 48-55 but those were all half bent pipes. 1947 seems to be the only year of the square shank that I can find.

@ Vlodko, I haven't smoked this one yet. I have a few other Kaywoodies from the same era and older with the 4 hole stingers and all smoke great for me! I can't imagine this one would smoke any worse. I've hear many people say these early Kaywoodies could give a Dunhill a run for its money.

The prices of early KW's are literally giving Dunhill's a run for their money. $215 with 5 days left.

Holy Crap! Some of them bent shapes are kind of rare though.I have to go though my information but I think a shank logo goes back to the 20s.
Edit. That shank logo is an real early super grain.

I'm puffing on a Drinkless right now (fairly recent Ruff-Tone, what I'd call an author shape). Great job bringing back that lovely pipe from the 40's.

If it smokes as good as mine, you're going to love it. Nice refurb!
