White Elephant Filters in a Missouri Meerschaum Cob

I bought the White Elephant 6mm filters from the Missouri Meerschaum website, figuring they would fit the cobs they sell. I have two cobs - the Great Dane and another of the same size but I forget the name. The filters seem slightly too large for the pipe--they won't fit into the stem. Any tips?

I have used the 6mm Savanelli balsa filters, and they fit fine.

The MM standard filter stems are too tight. What you want is the Danish Bit they sell. Much better, more comfortable, holds a rubber pipe bit and fits a filter perfectly. It comes standard on a few models, but most are the bad kind.

I just checked the standard stem with the Dr. Perl Junior 6mm filters. These are shorter and do fit both the stem and the shank.
