Just popped a tin of this one. The best way I can put it is if you've ever tried Captain Black and thought wow this is almost good but there is too much of that weird "chemical" taste and the tobacco could be slightly higher quality, then Seven Sails is for you. I would unequivocally review to it as gourmet Captain Black. For one thing to get this tobacco to bite you would almost require intent (I always check the parameters of a new blend to see where the bite starts.). It is what it states and nothing more. It's basic good tobacco with a nice creamy vanilla flavor that doesn't completely cover the tobacco taste. Also the room note is really good, heck even that lady that normal does that fake coughing stuff had to tell me it smelled nice.

EDIT: Fixed Name in Title - Bob

I like my aromatics way tobacco forward, and this one doesn't sound that way, though pretty good anyway. But thank you for the up front description.
