I had been on the forums looking for a better chocolate flake recently and had forgotten about the jarred for 6mo Presbyterian Reformation flake I had in the cellar.
I didn’t think it was too wet coming out of the jar but I let half a slice dry out overnight. By morning, the flake was slightly snappy as I folded and stuffed to perfection.
I taste the chocolate, but this is a much stronger mocha or coffee flavor to me. The taste was frankly excellent and left a pleasant taste in the bowl even after being emptied.
Drying it well really brought out the aromatic qualities in a way that right out of the jar or tin would mute.
