I thought I would share here the results of using Philtpads in an antique meerschaum. I have commented many times before on the many items I have found in the bottom of an antique meerschaum 'cutty' pipe that served as the 'Coloring Bowl' of 100+ years ago. The principle being that the oils and moisture are concentrated in the base of the 2605bowl and absorbed as the meerschaum heats up through the pipe being smoked. A lot of nonsense has been written about waxing your pipes with beeswax/ear wax or heaven knows what else. Well bellow are the results of just using a Philtpad and industrial amounts of twist/plug over a six month rotation.2604

The order of pictures came out wrong. The second picture is the before one and the first pictures shows the results. I guess I will finally figure out this new fangled site over time!
