Anyone try the new tobacco from Erik Stokkebye, Night Slice? I smoked a couple of coins he handed me in Chicago at the pipe show and it was pretty good.

I have to admit I imagine him leaning out of a dark corner and waving you over. Handing you the coins while telling you to just act natural.

When I first saw it I was wondering if they just replaced some of the dfk in Newminster 403 with cavendish

I just picked up a couple ounces of this at a B&M while visiting my father. Is this just the bulk release of the "Special Reserve Peaty Kentucky", which was itself maybe just a particularly flavorful batch of MacBaren's Stockton?

That is what I thought too. I like 403 a lot, but I also have a ton of it aged and ready.
I don't like the honey casing when it is fresh. Age seems to soak that in more so that it is not so prevalent.

I don't want to have to wait for Night Slice to do the same.
