We are writing with a few exciting announcements before the Pipe Smoking World Championship next month in Bucharest, Romania. Our National Champion Les Young will be representing the UPCA and has graciously decided to donate the money typically allotted to the champion in order to send an additional representative to the event. This leaves us only one member short of having enough for an official Team USA! In response, we are sending out a call for applicants to join Les and represent the US.
The UPCA will cover the flight, hotel and entry fee to the contest.

- Have a valid US Passport good through April 2024 (at a minimum. This is due to the regulations limiting travel by the US State Department. All passports must be valid for 6 months after your travel plans.)
- Be able to travel to Romania between October 5-9/10 (depending on return flights)
- Be a member of a current UPCA member club in good standing.
- Have participated in a national or regional tournament in the last two years. If it was a regional tournament the organizers must be able to provide the timing sheets to the UPCA.
- Participate as a member of Team USA.
