A Peterson and Some 1894 Poetry

Was just gifted this so I wanted to share. Excited to dive in. The pipe is a Peterson bulldog with a sterling silver band. Stamped Sherlock Holmes (Hudson). The book is Pipe and Pouch pipe poems from 1894! A hard bound book with a leather bag.

I like the idea of a poetry collection about pipes. I think that would demand a small publication run today, though it might make it in the print-on-demand circuit. A lot of books are set up to be printed only when someone orders them, so they don't end up in a landfill or a warehouse in Siberia. It would more fun to write than to try to publish or sell, I fear.
