Not all pipes that dramatically color are Marxmans, and not all are ancient Algerian briar.

Tonight I loaded up a extremely high condition Loewe Extra 314S (presumably a 1980s pipe) with Grousemoor.

I tried waxing it while I smoked.

Why did one side color so much more than the other?

No Marxman ever made had the grain of that Weber Golden Walnut behind the last photo of the Loewe.

Did the Weber come this pretty, or did it color this pretty?
