Two eBay estate pipes, made in Israel
I bid on these two estate pipes on eBay (two separate auctions.) About fifteen dollars each. They arrived in fair condition, a bit worse for the wear, but I cleaned them up good. Both of them are made in Israel.- cinosam

Packing a cob - what am I doing wrong?
I got two Missouri Meerschaum corncob pipes and have tried smoking with them but find the narrow bowl to be a pain in the ass, and I feel like I'm not packing the tobacco right. Why did the tobacco taste better in one pipe than another?

Why are Japanese pipes so expensive?
Every time I see a Japanese pipe on eBay or on pipe websites, it always seems to cost several thousand dollars. Why is this? Are the Japanese pipe makers that much better at their craft? Or is it that they're using higher quality materials? Or what?- cinosam
